Seven years of thinking about this project.
Zero plans to start it anytime soon.
And then—on a completely random Friday—I looked at Jodie and said,
“I think I’m doing it. I’m giving myself two weeks. I know it’s crazy. Don’t try to stop me.”

To which she, as always, said something like, “Of course you are.”
Because if anyone knows what it’s like when I get an idea in my head… it’s her.

Enter: full freakout. Full make-it-work moment.
Full holy sht what am I doing but also I have to do this because I need to* moment.

That’s how Stand With Her came to life.
It’s wild. It’s emotional. It’s not at all rational.
But it’s happening—and I couldn’t be prouder.

A special painting, for a special cause 🌸

This stunning 60cm piece represents the light every survivor carries—the return of colour after darkness, the strength of the feminine spirit, and the quiet resilience that blooms even in the heaviest of seasons. ✨

It’s also a full-circle moment for me… going back to resin, the medium where Flowature first began, and pouring every emotion, memory, and hope into this artwork.

🎟 All proceeds from ticket entries will be donated @zigzagsupportcentre to support women impacted by sexual assault. It’s a chance to give, to stand with her—and perhaps, bring this painting into your home as a reminder of light, softness, and strength.

Tickets go live alongside the full Stand With Her collection & website update on Sunday, April 27th at 7pm QLD time.

On the maker’s bench this week: orchids, orchids, orchids!
After six months of slow, detailed creating, I finally reached the stage where I could glue them all and bring their colourful pairings to life. This design is one of Flowature’s most loved – a true original with its resin detailing, floral layers, and sculptural beauty.

Every single orchid is its own little piece of wearable art – no two will ever be the same. I’m so excited to have them ready for the Finder’s Keepers market in just three weeks, and then again at The Big Design Market at the end of May!

The studio has never looked more colourful, and I can’t wait to see these beauties out in the world. They’ll also be part of our next online drop on Sunday the 27th at 7pm AEST, launching alongside the special Stand With Her project.

What started as a vibrant explosion of colour has evolved into a piece full of movement and quiet strength. It’ll be raffled off soon, with every cent going to support an incredible charity helping women rebuild their lives after trauma.

This project is about art with intention. About standing together. About creating beauty that gives back.

🌷Welcome to part one of creating the Stand With Her project 🌷.
Today we begin with something really special—resin painting. Going back to my roots and reconnecting with the art form that helped me heal after my own experience of sexual assault.

I booked an art show six years ago and committed to creating 26 pieces… and what unfolded was one of the most healing experiences of my life. Art has always been my way home—through bullying, chronic illness, and trauma—it was the place I found myself again. That collection, Healing Through Colour, was the start of something bigger… it’s what eventually led to Flowature, and the community we’ve built together.

This new painting will be the heart of the collection—the close-up photography of it will inspire the t-shirt and earring designs. And the original piece will be raffled off, with 100% of proceeds going to @zigzagyoungwomensresourcecentre to support young women affected by domestic violence, sexual assault, and homelessness—right here in Brisbane.

🤍Trigger Warning: Sexual Assault🤍

This has lived in my heart for 7 years.
Today, I’m finally ready to share it with you.

On my 20th birthday, I was sexually assaulted by a man I knew and trusted. It shattered everything I thought I knew about safety, about trust, about myself.

For months I felt numb, small, and afraid. But I kept asking myself: If this had happened to my sister, my mum, my best friend… I would stand with her. So why couldn’t I stand with myself?

So I did. 4 months after the incident I walked into a police station alone and reported it. Two days later, I found out another woman had also come forward, he had assaulted her a month after me. And for the next 7 years, we—two women who have never met or know nothing about each other- stood side by side each other trying to bring justice to this man. To stand strong for each other and any other women he may or may not have done this too.

This project is for her. And for every woman who has ever felt silenced, isolated, or afraid to speak her truth.

It’s called Stand With Her, and it’s a creative offering in support of sexual assault survivors. A project rooted in healing, colour, strength, and community.

In two weeks, I’ll be releasing:
• A one-of-a-kind painting to raffle that goes back to my roots of healing through colour and what started Flowature
• A meaningful tee design (something I have never done before)
• A special Flowature mini collection to bring The stand with her project to life.

Where part of the proceeds will go to supporting @zigzagsupportcentre who are helping girls and women affected by sexual violence.

If this project can help even one woman feel less alone, more seen, or closer to reclaiming her peace — that’s everything.
